Merry Christmas!  This week Kayla returns to join the Garvi and Brett in a discussion about the feel good holiday family classic, Silent Night, Deadly Night from 1984.  This was the controversial slasher film with a murderous Santa Claus wrecking havoc on a small town at Christmas.

The crew also looks at the new releases on home video and the large number of theatrical openings.  Plus they discuss the Christmas film that they have to watch every year.

Enjoy our seasonal episode and from all of us at Cinema Toast Crunch, Garvis 2, Garvis 3, Kayla, Shawn, Jeff, and Brett, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa, Glorious Eid, and a Festive Festivus to each and every one of our listeners whatever your particular celebration of choice may be.

The Garvi and Brett are back this week with a look at the 80's classic Blue Velvet from David Lynch.  This is Garvis 3's first exposure to the real world of David Lynch and a chance for a much needed revisit by Garvis 2, who hadn't watched the film since it first came out on home video.

Awards season has kicked off and the CTC trio talk the Critics' Choice awards, the Golden Globe nominees, and the just announced Screen Actors' Guild nominees.  Who looks to be the front runner for these awards and possible Oscar contention?

Finally we have our weekly look at what's new on home video and in theaters.  It's another packed episode for your listening pleasure.

James Bond meets Indiana Jones... sort of, this week the CTC crew watches 2011's Cowboys & Aliens from director Jon Favreau.  This tale of the wild west confronted by beings from outer space brought differing opinions from our trio.  We also look at new releases for home video and coming to theaters.

The crew is back with a discussion of 2001's Enemy at the Gates from Jean-Jacques Annaud.  This is a war film told from a very human perspective and like last week's Battleship Potemkin, putting us in the position of cheering for a Russian hero.

New releases are a lot slimmer this week, but Brett fills us in on Pete's Dragon and Don't Breathe (both making their home video debut) while Garvis 2 talks a bit about Sacrifice! out on Blu-ray from Rarovideo this week.
